More About Me
I grew up in a small town in Colorado. There, I fell in love with theatre and had the quintessential theatrical beginning, performing in small parts in Annie and Oklahoma! before starring as Gypsy Rose Lee in Gypsy.
I knew from the moment I set foot on stage that performing was what I was meant to do.
Instead of attending the North Carolina School of the Arts, I moved to NYC at 18 to pursue a career in the arts. I wasn't sure of the specifics, but I was determined to make it work.
I bopped around with musical theatre for a bit before landing on improvisation, first short-form but then I discovered the UCB Theatre.
I took classes, performed, and eventually taught musical improvisation at The Upright Citizens Brigade.

Gorgeous Ladies of Comedy
In New York, I created the Gorgeous Ladies of Comedy. What started as a blog featuring my favorite ladies on the comedy scene grew into a website, multiple shows, and a movement for women in comedy. My first interview was with Abbi & Ilana, who had a very small web series called Broad City; maybe you've heard of it?
My GLOC shows featured Kristen Schaal, Kristen Johnston, Julie Klausner, Nicole Byer, Sasheer Zamata, Naomi Ekperigin, and more.
In 2012, I was featured in the Spotlight section of the NY Times. Click below to read the article.
I created Dream Role, a chance for comedians and actors to play their dream roles on stage, with a few pals from New York.
We ran many productions of the show with incredible performers like Rachel Bloom, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Artemis Pebdani, Amy Stiller, Jeff Hiller, Baron Vaughn, Michelle Collins, Lennon Parham, Georgia Hardstark, Sam Richardson, and more.
